Wildlife photographer Rajesh Bedi brought alive the magnificence of Rajasthan in his exhibition titled Rajasthan Under The Desert Sky at an exhibition in Delhi recently. “These photographs represent a labour of love for me spread over several years,’’ says Bedi. From his large collection of photographs, only 47 blowups on canvas were on display at the exhibition.
People from various walks of life came together to enjoy the exhibition on the opening day, with the ersthwile Maharaja Gaj Singh II of Jodhpur as the chief guest.
Other prominent attendees included external affairs minister Salman Khurshid, Lok Sabha MP Jaswant Singh, Jaya Jaitly, socialite Nafisa Ali, journalist Mark Tully and AV Ramana Dikshitulu, pradhana acharya and advisor of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. Kiran Bishnoi was also present, and referring to the image of her son and a young chinkara suckling at her breast, Khurshid said it was a unique example “of harmony between man and nature.”
